The food was amazing. I had the prime rib two nights in a row. The service from the waitstaff was exceptional and attentive. It's a fantastic spot for dancing! We will definitely be returning! View all feedback.

heinous in all points. from the facility itself, to the event staff, to the eating that poisoned us 24 hours, this ramshackle has reserved itself a special place in the culinary hell beside quiznos and hulk hogans pastamania. they make one fall and stay as far away as humanly possible from this god-forgotten slangengrube. venue 2.8/10, eat 0.5/10, personal 1/10, place 2/10. this place has no business in a modern civi... I’ve been coming to the Sundance for years, and I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed myself. Like any place you’ll go, they have off nights (short staffed, new servers, unruly patrons , but all in all it’s a fun place to go hang out with friends and grab drinks. Unlike other reviews I’ve seen, I think the DJ, who has worked there for years, is awesome. He’s nice if you’re nice. He does try to cater to the crowd and play differing styles of music… but you can’t please everyone, and there will always been someone who complains. It is a country bar after all, so if you’d prefer hip hop or pop, go on college night, not during the weekend. And btw, if you simply go up and request a song, he’ll play it. You’d be surprised how many songs he plays are actually requests. Ever since they switched to the juke box, and whoever has been subbing on concert nights, it’s been line dance after line dance, and it gets really old. This has been going on for the last month or so, if not more. (Bring back Steve! The place is starting to become really worn down, but I’d love to see life come back to this place. That being said, bringing in new video games isn’t going to do it.. If a place like the Sundance isn’t your cup of tea to begin with, don’t come and leave a nasty review. It’s ruining it for the regulars and staff.
My husband and I recently moved to Fort Collins and have been going to the Sundance Saloon for the past couple of months. We have seen five shows and they have all been excellent, and we really enjoy attending them. The food is good, especially the prime rib, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I really enjoy watching the dancers on the dance floor and seeing all the different moves they do. Everything has been great, until the night of the comedy show. We came in early for dinner, as we always do, and when we asked the guy at the front desk if we need to sit anywhere specific, he said no and that it is all general seating. We went and sat at our usual table close to the stage and had our dinner. When the waitress asked us if we wanted to close our tab, we told her no since were attending the show. That is when she advised us that the show had started about 15 minutes ago in the front room. We didn’t even know that a front room existed. The comedy show was excellent, and we thought it was great that the owner was the one who was serving everyone in the room. After the show I stopped the owner and told her that it would have been nice if we were told by the front desk when we came in that the show was in the front room because we missed the first 15 minutes thinking it was on the main stage. She gave us a mean look and rudely told us that the website told us that it was in the front room, and there was also a sign on the front desk that said the show was in the front room. We honestly did not see the sign on the front desk, and we looked at the website weeks ago so we would not have recalled seeing it even if we did. I then tried to explain to her that we even asked the guy at the front desk where to sit and she again looked at us even more annoyed and rudely said it was on the website and on the sign on the desk and then turned around and left. I was honestly shocked that the OWNER was treating us that way. We were talking about attending the event on July 3rd and bringing our daughter who will be in town, along with some of our friends, but we are not sure that we want to go back after our experience with the owner…and that would be a real shame since the talent is always really good.
This was our first visit here. To be honest, it was disappointing. We have seen the restaurant before and wanted to try it because we thought it looked fun. I don't know that it's specifically anyone's fault, because I feel like they may be short-staffed, but we sat for over 20 minutes without ever having our meal order taken. In fairness, the waitress did come over relatively quickly and get our drink order. When we were looking at the menu, and asking our waitress about items, she told us they were out of many things. That's probably supply chain issues, but even then, we told her we needed a minute with the menu and then 20 minutes later she came back. Needless to say, we didn't stay for a meal. We paid for our drinks and left. I hope they get it straightened out, because it looks like a really fun place. They have a big dance floor and you feel like you're almost in a really cool barn. So, one star is for the ambiance and the second star is because our waitress, although she left us sitting there way too long, was very nice and apologized repeatedly.
Disappointed... and pictures need updating because the features don't match the experience. When approaching the front doors it appears abandoned, with broken windows full of moths and the business hours sign hanging by a thread. The place is dirty, even the spider webs have dust. ONE pool table and everyone wants to play. The staff don't dress like they work for a western bar, instead I've seen skater apparel and street clothes but if you're paying attention you might notice western boots. The dance instructor teaches too fast by squeezing 3 songs into a one hour for a beginner course and most of the time you're not dancing to music! I watched as two people out of 15 were comfortable with their skills. The only thing I liked was the $8 burger special, but they managed to get my order wrong after I confirmed my order twice with my server (who ultimately brought my order to me and I had to wait more than 5 minutes to return it while sitting in an empty bar). This place is good for a ghost town atmosphere with a relic who doesn't care to stay open. I was really hoping to live again in a post COVID atmosphere but this was not it. When I speak to friends they agree, it's not what it used to be.
Went there for a concert and it was miserable. 1. AC was broken so it was hot as can be in there. I would expect some sort of communication that it was out but got none. 2. Got a table because my back issues and the chairs are not comfy at all. They are very old and hard. I for one will not be back here at all. My response to your response- 1. Your staff told me it was broken so they must be liars. 2. I really don't care if you take my suggestion on the old chairs because I will not be going there.
