The Pickled Okra is a little hidden gem in downtown Forsyth. The food was great, the service was awesome, and the decor was cool, too! I had the chicken salad sandwich on rye bread with fried okra as my side. The chicken salad was so simple and so delicious! My husband got the TPO burger, and it was fantastic! The burger was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The kids' meals also come with a sweet treat. Bonus! We will absolutely be back! While in town I tried this place. AMAZING food. I went all 3 days I was in town for lunch. Ordered the tuna salad as a melt on rye with fries, it came as a wrap but was still yummy! Day 2, taco Tuesday cheesesteak tacos with okra. The taco was topped with bacon pieces but bacon bits, they were small but I still got full. Day 3 tuna melt again but they got the bread right, way better on rye than the wrap with okra. I HIGHLY recommend this small local spot. Love it and will go every time I am in town. Small local, bar on one side more seating on the other, a few tables outside. Very reasonable prices. This was my second time dining here, and it was even better than I remember! The chicken salad was out of this world it was flavorful and creamy and then place it with that lettuce and tomatoe on rye chefs kiss perfection. The onion rings and fried okra were the best I have ever had from anywhere. I absolutely love the small town local feel of the place. Our waitress was so friendly and so bubbly and made us feel that we were just guests in her home and not out to eat. I can't wait to go back.
