We arrived and were greeted and shown a table very quic... read more A drop in visit for a spot of lunch before hitting the beach and the waiter was lucky I didn’t hit him!! We arrived and were greeted and shown a table very quickly, we ordered drinks from the male waiter (Francis) to be told order from “the girl” when the waitress came we ordered the drinks. We asked for a menu, again from Francis to be asked aggressively Spanish or German, we replied English, the menus were thrown on the table!! We ordered from the waitress and the food came within a reasonable time, it was disappointing, my wife had BLT and was happy, my tropical salad was very disappointing as the avocado was hard and not ripe. We then asked for the bill from Francis who didn’t understand our Spanish and again responded with ask “the girl” who did understand, both are Spanish. The bill came, we paid and Francis returned the change, €20 short!!! We called him back to the table and explained to him the problem and his attitude was again aggressive, fortunately the cafe manageress intervened and corrected the error and also listened to our complaint about Francis. This is a 1 star hotel that charges 4 star prices, but the service is 1 star. I have read other reviews and this is the first time we haven’t enjoyed the meal here however if his attitude doesn’t change or they get rid of him they will lose custom to the Beach Bar and Restaurant (People) on the beach which is an Up Market Beach kiosk, great service and food.

However what the restaurant might possibly miss in quality it certainly makes up for by the quality of its staff who are superb! If you have a chance to sample the quite excellent pasta do so! The Bolognesa is wonderful!

The... read more This is an honest and simple place. The food is a great value for money. You don’t pay for fancy location and interior. You get good food for little money. The fish of the day was amazing, for like 20 Euro. And it was indeed fresh. We loved the muscles. The staff was friendly and looked after us well. Considering how much pretentiousness there is around here, this was so refreshing.
