The food is excellent, but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. There’s no natural light, and the extractor fan isn’t strong enough to eliminate cooking odors while you’re dining. View all feedback.
The fish and chips were absolutely the best I've ever had, complete with authentic mushy peas (which is very important). The batter was perfect, and the chips were nice and crispy. I would give it a 5 out of 5. I also had a great time there; it was really lovely. Kerry, the owner, is incredibly helpful and friendly. My friend Joan visits all the time because she loves the food!
I had an excellent breakfast! I ordered the “second up” which came with 2 slices of speck, 1 sausage, 1 black pudding, 1 hash brown (I opted for 2 hash browns instead of toast), along with beans, tomato, mushrooms, and a fried egg. It even included a glass of orange juice! This was my first experience with black pudding, and I found it to be a great introduction. I’ve had more expensive breakfasts that were served cold, but everything here was hot and delicious. It was truly delightful, and I highly recommend it!
