Ristorante Oasis Piano Bar Dancing

Same as previous review. Wine we wanted sold out so had to order something more expensive. Then another waiter came over made a point of lifting our bottle of wine from ice bucket, looked at it, put it back said something and then walked off? Didn't remember to give us water we ordered. Unfortunately, food wasn't great either compared to cheaper restaurants we'd visited in the local area producing same food this restaurant did not deliver. Gnocchi was not as light as it should have been in fact it was really dense. Not checked on during our meal or asked how our dinner was. An all frills restaurant but only if you are a top paying customer otherwise staff not interested. Pianist player excellent. Spend your money elsewhere. Seemed to be a lot of people questionning their bill?

The main course was a disaster. The plates were all cold, the meat too. And the plate decoration was still the highlight! The waiter seriously told me that was a great decoration. The wine I ordered was sold out and they brought me another bottle which in the end cost three times as much. Pretty brash.

We came as part of a group and the waiter/manager approached me after we 'd sat down where indicated and shouted "MOVE '....... 'you CANNOT sit there MOVE '. He was so rude and was inhospitable, an encounter we didn 't have anywhere else on Ischia, Capri or Sorrento. I moved after saying there was no sign to say that the table was reserved and shortly afterwards a reserved sign was brought! The second waiter who came to take the order was hardly deigning to listen, rolling eyes and looking totally bored! The whole episode was so appalling I 'm laughing thinking back to that awful lunchtime. My husband felt we 'd been so badly treated that we would be foolish to stay and encourage more of the same. We left and went to a nice gelateria nearby with delicious ice cream. Because I 'd complained to our team leader this bully boy explained that in fact he wasn 't shouting at me but one of the waitresses (poor girl was called 'dopey ' by him)! We both knew this wasn 't true and was an attempt by him to retain the business of the tour company. I find it hard to believe the high rating of this place considering the amount of bad reviews and would encourage anybody reading this to visit any other establishment as I 'm sure you will encounter a nicer atmosphere.
