The Whole Fish Market - Forest Lake

I ordered some oysters and was craving something deep fried, so I got the Fisherman's basket. The seafood tasted very fresh, unlike most other restaurants. The staff was fantastic and even went out of their way to replace our oysters to ensure we were getting the freshest batch possible. Thank you!

This is my favorite fish and chips spot in the area. The service is always excellent and the fish is always cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I love watching the fresh seafood while I wait for my order to be prepared.

I had been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while, and I believe it is related to the Fish Factory in Morningside. I was surprised by how big the venue was when I arrived. The display of fresh seafood caught my attention more than the fish and chips section. There were plenty of whole large salmon, shellfish, and live fish in tanks. I ordered the mixed grill for one and a surf and turf meal. The portions were generous and the seafood was very fresh. The only downside was that there was no indoor dining area, which made it uncomfortable to eat in the hot summer weather.

My second time here and since I knew what I wanted so I straight away ordered the mix grill seafood package which was included chips and can soft drink. The mix grill package contain of Moreton bay bug (2 halves), 2 prawns, 2 scallop and salt pepper calamari. Everything was fresh and good except scallop was a bit over cooked. Beside it, we got some cooked prawns, couple oysters and grilled fish (Tailor). Basically, they have extensive choice of seafood and they can also fillet the fishes without additional charge. Good place for fresh seafood and friendly staffs.

Had a 2hr swim at AJs with family this morning and dropped by this place for some lunch since we were super hungry. We had the cod basket, a platter for two, and a dozen freshly battered coffin bay oysters. Fish was crumbed nicely and very well seasoned, calamari was excellent, and so were the prawns. Only let down were the chips and oysters. Batter for the oysters were little too thick and very slightly doughy without any seasoning. Had a few undercooked chips in the half we finished and had to stop because it tasted a little 'powdery '. Otherwise, everything seemed good, the staff were friendly and very helpful, prices are reasonable and most importantly: the seafood I can see was fresh. I give this place 8/10 for 'fish 'n 'chips '
