This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last ! The people there are friendly, and the food is really good. Each dish had it's own distinctive flavour, unlike a lot of Indian Buffets where everything tastes pretty much the same. There was a really good range too. No Vindaloo, which was a pity as I like HOT Indian fare. As well as the dishes on display we were given, hot from the kitchen, a huge Rotti bread and a really nice fritter type of goodie, not sure exactly what it was called but it was very nice. The only slight criticism I have is that you have to use plastic cutlery. This restaurant is very good value. Highly recommend you try it.
On Wednesday 25th May 2016, my wife and I bought a Madras Chicken take-away curry from SpiceIn. This came with a tub of rice as part of the deal. The curry was reasonably spicy and creamy with the distinctive flavour of coconut cream. It was quite palatable and enjoyable despite it being slightly sweetish - untypical of South Indian curries.
We brought two take-away dishes on Wednesday night (20th January 2016) from SpiceIn. The chicken dum biryani (bone in) was well-seasoned and well-prepared. It came with a tub of dahi chutney (raita). This biryani was a splendid meal in itself and very satisfying with the dahi chutney accompaniment. The goat curry (bone in) was delicious and the meat was well-cooked and tender. It was just a tad chilli-hot. This came with cooked basmati rice and formed a delightful meal.Overall, we found the tastes to be authentic, the portions generous and prices reasonable.
The best Indian takeaway. Prepare for a 20 30 minute wait, even during quiet times, however I can guarantee its worth the wait every time! Butter chicken is amazing and the naans are always fresh.
