This place is adorable! Love shopping their wine selection and both their espresso and gelato are delicious!

Another reviewer had it right: Modeled after an Italian market. But an Italian market this ain 't. You know, I 'm not asking for business owners to pull the Cappomaggis ' store from Moonstruck off the screen or create a facsimile of a generations-old store from an Italian-American neighborhood elsewhere in North America. But if you 're going to call yourself an Italian market, please be that.Montelupo 's and Providore in Portland are fine examples of how you can accomplish this end without much fuss or undue effort: Stock staples that people making Italian or Italian-American dishes use (crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, spices, soups, broth, wine, olive oil, sauce, dry pasta. etc. You don 't even have to keep perishables around: Shelf-stable items with which to make common dishes. Keep them in high supply, have other items like your gelato or coffee to keep customers coming in... boom, done.This... this is more like an Italian-themed gift shop. Get a bialetti, but no coffee. A pasta press, but no ingredients. Wine... but spiral stairs to carry it up and down? Considering you 're stocking the place as if it could be renamed Picnics Plus at any moment, skip the wine and $50 pasta club (and va fangool to that... do you medigans have even the slightest notion why Italian-American families use dried pasta or make pots of their own sauce on weekends? The answer doesn 't amount to $48 a month). Just set up your wine and cheese baskets and maybe some of your dried, boxed torrone.I get it: Actual Italian Americans aren 't your target market here. You 're hoping that some ethnically nondescript folks with expendable income will drive by on their way to one of the Forest Grove wineries, see the store, turn down Think Out Loud on OPB for 10 seconds and pop in for, what, a $10 bag of crackers, $15 jar of fig jam and maybe a ravioli cutter? In Forest Grove, that definitely beats an empty storefront, but for those of use who grew up around the corner from actual Italian markets and have to be routinely disappointed by retail caricatures like this that may as well sell Eat, Pray, Love signs from their Under the Tualatin Sun collection, it amounts to mockery.

$4.75 for a 1/2 cup ice cream or less. Only one flavor to choose from and it had small ice chunks. Not impressed, I love local but it's too expensive for what you get without a selection. Disappointed for sure.

Yep great gelato, great coffee, 5 star review for me, pasta tastes good, I personally like the mushrooms infused with oil the grilled ones. 10/10 good job mom!

Great little Italian shop! You can stop in for a delicious gelato, espresso, or specialty coffee. They carry all kinds of authentic hard-to-find Italian baking and cooking goods, food items, and pastas- Buono!
