We absolutely love this place and everything we’ve tried has been wonderful. We initially found bites through door dash and liked it enough to visit in person. The menu is a bit odd with the mix of foods, and I was initially hesitant to try it, but after trying several things I would absolutely recommend bites to anyone. Staff is very friendly and the food service was pretty quick. Parking: We were able to find stree... View all feedback.
What Kyle lewis dislikes about Bites:
The vibe is great. The people are great. And the menu is super appetizing. But the food itself is imbalanced and not great. Our tempura avocado was drenched in so much sauce we had to scrape it off. (The sauce was also overly spicy for an aioli.. almost unbearable) The salmon tacos were bland with so much lettuce and tomato I thought we mistakenly ordered a salad. The saving grace was the pasta, which was okay. Udon i... View all feedback.
The food was delicious—nothing extraordinary, but still quite enjoyable. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of à la carte menus. Paying $14 for two street tacos feels a bit steep, and then there’s an additional $8 for fries? It was tasty, but I wouldn’t consider it a $22 meal. The kimchi was really good, and it was my first experience with homemade kimchi. I appreciate that it’s vegan, especially since I’m allergic to shrimp, but I can see why many of the menu items are meat-free. The service was pleasant, although it took some time for someone to acknowledge me at the start. I ordered a Jim Beam, but I’m fairly certain it wasn't Jim Beam. Still, the staff was very friendly and checked in frequently.
The food was decent, but the atmosphere and service were outstanding. My favorite dish was the cucumber salad, and I would definitely recommend it!
I ordered the shrimp tempura tacos, but unfortunately, the tortillas fell apart while I was eating them; they were too soggy. The tacos had a good amount of shrimp, but they definitely need to use a second tortilla to prevent them from falling apart. After all, you can’t serve corn tortillas with soggy fillings and expect them to hold up. The Jalapeño burger had the perfect amount of spice, but the flavor reminded me more of liver than a traditional burger. On the positive side, the waitress was friendly, and the food came out relatively quickly. However, I was disappointed that the burger, which was nearly $15, didn’t come with fries—those were an extra $3. I might consider giving this place another try, but I’m not sure.
The food and service is amazing! Try the drink with the lemongrass in it, you won’t regret it! The Korean bbq tacos were top notch as well. We love sitting out front with our doggie and enjoying the activity!
