Loaf Bakery - Foremost
Loaf Bakery
Description
A bustling, casual eatery known for tasty pizzas, brunch plates, soups, sandwiches and desserts—plus good coffee and a sunny patio. The modern, relaxed setting and value specials draw locals and tourists alike, though the experience is uneven: food quality is generally solid but portions can be small and prices feel high for families. Service varies from attentive and polished to disorganized and slow, so come for a leisurely meal or patio hang, but don’t expect fast turnaround on busy days.

To make matters worse, the portion size was quite small. When we inquired, the server said it was the head cook's instruction—only eight small pieces on a large bed of greens. I'm not a big eater, but even I found it insufficient. We also ordered focaccia bread, which came with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. I couldn’t understand why the vinegar settled in a blob at the bottom when I stirred it. When I asked for more vinegar, the server brought a tiny container, which turned out to be balsamic glaze. That explained why it wouldn’t mix properly. Our kids ordered pizza, which was just okay—not great, unfortunately. I don’t mind paying a premium for quality food, but this experience didn’t meet those expectations. As we dined, I overheard our waitress complaining to the bartender, and he loudly remarked that some nights are just like that. To me, that indicates we weren’t the only ones feeling frustrated. It seems the kitchen could benefit from some significant improvements.
I strolled through the strip and chose The Loaf for brunch. I enjoyed the ambiance—it's very casual and relaxed, especially with the open windows and outdoor patio. I ordered The Works and the Pork Bowl; they are quite similar, with the main distinction being that The Works includes toast and some vegetables. The food was satisfactory; the potatoes were crispy, and the poached eggs were cooked to my preference—medium with a slight runniness. The service was excellent, with two servers managing the entire restaurant and patio. Our server was attentive, frequently refilling our coffee and checking on us without being intrusive. He handled the busy restaurant well and never seemed overwhelmed, though I unfortunately can't recall his name.
Excellent customer service, featuring very friendly staff and delicious food. The $12 afternoon pizza special is an incredible value. The venue offers a nice space with a laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Really great good and wonderful service. Stopped in on our way through town and had brunch. Our server was really friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. The restaurant was able to accommodate some special food requests for my meal and were not bothered at all. Would recommend for sure.
Came here on the way home after May long. The woman inside said the kitchen was backed up and that it would be about a 40-45 minute wait. And that they were out of pizzas. Seemed a bit odd since there weren't that many people in the restaurant and that they didn't anticipate the long weekend to be busy. We ordered our food, and shortly after, they ended up closing the kitchen down since they ran out of so many things. Waiter was friendly, but our drinks sat empty for way too long. I ordered the poultry bowl and husband ordered the bocconcini salad. He enjoyed his. Mine was bland and needed serious help. It was supposed to come with crispy potato wedges on the bottom, but they ran out and didn't tell me, so I got fries instead. There was supposed to be hollandaise, but it was on the bottom of the bowl, like it was the first thing put in. Eggs were overlooked so the yolk couldn't spill out, and chicken was bland as all hell. I would not recommend this place, and I won't be back.
