This is one of my favourite cafe's in Melbourne. The menu is simple, affordable and the food is delicious. My favourite is the rice and lentil curry which is light, warming and with just the right amount of spiciness. The coffee is excellent; the short blacks are among the best around. The owner has recently bought a modern roaster and it sits in the cafe with customers and roasts a range of coffees that you can purc... View all feedback.

For a customer who has been going to this place for the last two years and being very friendly to staff, today the customer service we received was absolutely appalling. I visited this restaurant alone and was impressed by the friendly manager. He was very kind and genuinely interested in the customers. Although it was morning and the authentic Ethiopian dishes were not available yet, I enjoyed a coffee and a roasted sandwich which were both delicious. The price was fair for the quality of food.
I was searching for a good cup of coffee and breakfast when I stumbled upon this place. I could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in. The owner greeted me with a friendly smile and I noticed they roast their own coffee in-house. I ordered a long black and a ham and cheese croissant, both of which were delicious. The coffee was exceptional!
As a long-time customer who has visited this establishment regularly over the past two years and has always been friendly with the staff, I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received today. While it is true that the service at this cafe is usually slow, I have been patient due to the fact that it is a family-owned business. However, the cafe owner was exceptionally rude towards us today, perhaps due to having a bad day. Regardless, it is unacceptable for a business to treat its loyal customers in such a disrespectful manner. This experience has left me feeling completely let down, and I will not be returning to this cafe in the future.

I was looking for a good cupa and a bit of breky. I stumbled on this place. I imagine the clean cut gentleman with warm eyes and smile is the business owner. I could see a coffee roaster in the back of the shop where they roasts their own coffee. I ordered long black and ham cheese croissant toasted. The coffee was off the hook!
