We tried the Bangkok stree... read more My partner and I are from Toronto and visited The Opposite. This place was recommended by our Airbnb hosts and it did not disappoint! We tried the Bangkok street pad thai, stir-fried Thai basil, black and green mango salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and the service was excellent. We just got takeout, but the restaurant's decor is charming and would make for a great date night.

This restaurant is fantastic - it is simple yet beautifully clean inside, making it perfect for a lovely date night. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious - definitely a must-try!

We sampled a variety of dishes, including their new fried cream puff filled with cream and chocolate. Everything we tried, from starters like fried calamari and spring rolls to main courses like pad thai and broccoli chicken with jasmine rice, was delicious. The highlight was the lemongrass coconut chicken soup. The Thai ice cream was also exceptional.

Our party of 6 was joined by two other couples, and while the service was a bit slow and not everyone received their food at the same time, the server was very kind. The soup we ordered was excellent, and the main dish of chicken and shrimp was fresh and tasty. However, the noodles that accompanied the dish were overcooked, which I mentioned to the server. I would still return to this restaurant for the fresh and delicious meat and chicken dishes. The restroom was clean, but I would have appreciated some soft Thai music and condiments like tomato sauce, chili, and salt and pepper readily available at the table. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this restaurant to others who are looking to try it out.
