Trattoria Da Ivo - FONTANELLATO

Located on the provincial road from Parma north to Milan, it does not look like much, but get inside and you will be pleasantly surprised, nice lunch room with clean facilities. very nice and friendly priced lunch. The vitello arrosta and the vitello tonnata were good! Tip, do not sit near the window if it is open, the noise of the cars may bother you.

We stopped here for lunch as we were passing by. The place isn't very big on the inside and parking is scarce on the outside but sufficient. The menu consisted of the usual 2-3 choices for each course, water and wine. The selection of dishes was attractive and the food was tasty, the portions not overly abundant, the service was quick and the waitress courteous though the place was very busy. The price was affordable and right for the experience, we would stop here again if in the area.

I am always keen on places that provide you with the best of services. Ivo's place looks as if time is frozen in the 70's but this is strangely enough a positive point to the whole experience. Pizza is thin and crispy with very tasty fillings. The bruscetta is also a bloom of taste and smell. Unfortunately the service lacks speed. The full packed factor cannot be the excuse. Also the toilet needs urgently repair and thorough cleaning.

Fantastico pasto durante una giornata molto frenetica....bravissimi

Dopo una visita al Labirinto di Musone, abbiamo pranzato presso il ristorante Avo. Il locale è carino e abbiamo mangiato bene. Abbiamo assaggiato un antipasto misto di carni e culatello, seguito da un primo piatto di tortelloni alle erbe veramente buoni. Unica pecca è stata la cameriera un po' scorbutica, mentre un'altra era molto affabile. Il conto è risultato un po' costoso considerando cosa abbiamo mangiato. Se vuoi andare, perché no.
