Zaky Mediterranean Grill - Fontana

WARNING: FOOD POISONING! I ordered chicken shawarma today through DoorDash and experienced severe diarrhea just an hour after eating it. This was the only food I consumed today, and I haven't had food poisoning in over ten years—until now. This is very concerning, especially since it appears that the restaurant has received recent negative reviews about unsanitary conditions and improper food storage. I hope they take these reviews seriously because I wouldn’t wish food poisoning on anyone.

The service was lacking. I approached her politely with questions about the type of oil and salt used in the dishes, as my husband has dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, both she and another staff member were quite rude in their responses. When we served ourselves drinks from the fountain, my husband discovered something unpleasant at the bottom of his cup—what appeared to be dead bugs. It was absolutely disgusting. When I informed the lady about it, she responded with an attitude that suggested she didn’t care. It was clear to me that the staff were unhappy in their roles. I strongly recommend the owner consider changing their staff; happier employees could lead to more satisfied customers. After this experience, we will definitely not be returning.

I'm not sure if the AC wasn't working or if the owner is just trying to save money, but it was hotter inside than outside, and it was 100 degrees outside! As for the food, it wasn't bad overall, but the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I hope to have a better experience next time. Food rating: 3/5.

I have rated customer service 2 stars only because I liked the new guy who was very nervous and the more experienced worker who tried to help the new guy out. The two ladies who worked with the food were very rude to both the new guy and my husband and I. They were not pleasant at all,didn't try to explain the menu( as we were new to this place) they could clearly see we didn't know what to order and wanted suggestions on what's good. We also apologized and mentioned we were first time customers there and the lady just looked at us and walked away leaving everything up to the new guy who was totally confused. As soon as I got home my husband and I checked the reviews on this place and saw ..yup ! It's not just us. The food wasn't even worth the money we spent. Atleast if they change their attitude towards the customers they might have more customers. We definitely won't be back!

Not bad and not great. Great concept. Most side options were sauces. Definitely not a good option if your indecisive or like to take your time. They seem to rush you or appear annoyed however, I do believe it was just a culture difference. My meat was a bit overcooked.Food: 3/5
