Cold Star Ice - Fontana

Very unfriendly.. the cashier was nice. The men or boys make you feel like they are doing you a favor selling you ice. Their website says they are open at 7:30 on Saturday but they do not open till 8.

If you 're in need for A LOT of ice for an event, you 've gotta stop by Cold Start Ice! I picked up two, 38 lb. bags of ice for $14.00!!!! What!?!? Purchasing is SUPER easy too! You just pull up to a parking space, and walk up to a little window. Ring the bell and an employee will come to the window to ask how much ice you need (there 's a handy little list posted on the window which tells you how much you pay for ice). Pay the employee and your ice appears, to the left of the little window, ready to load into your vehicle. Simple! In addition to the 38 lb. super bags of ice, they sell 5 lb nuggets , 20 lb bags, 10,250 lb. blocks (whoa) and 5 lb dry ice blocks. Basically, you can come here for all of your ice needs. I have to admit, the price for ice was so reasonable, I got greedy and ordered two more 38 lb. bags of ice. Those bags ultimately went to waste. Don 't be like me.

Has not much parking space, but the staff are very helpful and fast!

It's sad when businesses that been in your community forever can not donate ice to a nonprofit 501c youth program in your own city. Very disappointing!!

This is definitely the place to go for ice! I visited again in June during the festivities, and the ice truck was there. One of the workers, who was unloading the truck, took my ticket and helped me get my ice. He was really friendly and helpful. I didn't even know about this place before, but now it's the only spot I’ll go for ice. I give it 5 stars without a doubt!
