Suprême de volaille. I love that dish, hadn’t had it in years. Here, it was wonderful. The chicken breast was tender and juicy. The cream sauce was mouth-filling and smooth. A good Ile Flottante is away pleasant. My wife and I ordered one with two spoons. It was served on two plates, half and half. “Better that way”, the server said. He was right, and very thoughtful. In fact, we felt welcome here from the moment we... View all feedback.
What NickiG doesn't like about Le Troubadour:
What a very strange place, like something out of the 80s that is crying out for a bit of a refurb and and injection of life. We had a large group but we were the only people in a very large place. So not great on atmosphere. Service tried to be friendly but was, to be perfectly honest, clumsy and amateurish. And the food was mediocre, 'chicken or fish? My organization had a group lunch here during our day trip in Fontainebleau. From what I understand, this is one of the only restaurants the office de tourisme sends groups to. It was TERRIBLE. First of all, the first sign that you should turn around and leave is that there are no windows, and palm trees everywhere inside. The linens and glasses were visibly DIRTY! We started with some crudités raw veggies thrown on a plate, that were browning on the edges. The main course was the most basic stew that anybody could pull out of their you-know-what. And the dessert they called a moelleux au chocolat was just a dry sponge cake, and when we asked about it they barked back CEST UN MOELLEUX. Do they think we 're STUPID? The server was also RUDE and MOCKED ME when I politely asked her for something. STAY AWAY FROM HERE, MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATIONS ELSEWHERE ANYWHERE IN FONTAINEBLEAU. This place is GROSS!
We would like to say a huge thank you to the management and staff at Le Troubadour Restaurant. Ours was a decade birthday event with our wonderful international friends a group of 33 plus our mascot dog 'Shelby '. We had a very satisfying meal with wine champagne (some waiting for dishes but very reasonable considering the size of our group). The atmosphere was perfect for our party and we were so happy to see how our 10 children aged 4 14, were comfortably accommodated. David the magician, was an impressive and pleasant surprise enjoyed by all. A few of us finished off the evening with some dancing which we hadn 't anticipated, and a good time was had by all! Yes, we would recommend this venue happily. Again our thanks.
', disguised by enormous side salads and, like my old school gcse coursework, based on quantity rather than quality. Huge portions, surprise huge dessert, way over the top and not particularly tasty. Very odd experience.
Very good surprise for this restaurant close to the castle both by reception, space, development and especially the kitchen. Choice of consequent dishes for a midi formula for a light price. And most importantly, excellent cuisine. Bravo to the chief.
Very good value / quality price. We were here for a birthday. Reservation in advance. Complete and cheap menu. We ate well and we could dance. The DJ adapts to customers on the track, it’s very nice. Go to the INTERPARKING DU CHATEAU, you will have the opportunity to pass in front of the ladies' castle to your heels, the streets have paved. The entrance is in a recess opens the eye
