Kfc - Folsom
Kfc
Description
KFC at Folsom Iron Point balances notable highs and lows: well-fried, fresh-tasting chicken (the Spicy Crispy and biscuits earn frequent praise) and oversized, hot fries contrast with occasional dry or bland pieces, order mistakes and flat beverages. Service ranges from friendly and attentive to inconsistent, and the lobby has faced temporary closures. With a convenient drive-thru and reliable GrubHub pickup, it’s a convenient lunch stop that can deliver standout meals when quality and service align.

This is one of the best Kentucky Fried Chicken locations I've ever visited. The chicken is delicious and consistently fresh, with a wide variety of menu options. It's evident that they use fresh oil for frying, unlike some other places that rely on old oil, leading to overcooked and stale food. Based on my experience, this is the top KFC in the entire Sacramento area. I've tried several other locations, and none of them come close.
The fast food experience was pretty standard, and the chicken was a bit dry. Since the lobby was closed, we had to use the drive-thru. However, what really made this location memorable was the service. The two young men who assisted us were incredibly polite and attentive, and I truly appreciated that.
Terrible food and management! I will NEVER return to this place! I honestly don’t understand how they stay in business. After a bad experience before, I decided to give them another chance, but was just as let down! I usually don’t complain or write negative reviews, but this time I felt compelled. Considering this is supposedly one of the most expensive fast food chains, you’d expect much better food quality and customer service, but both were seriously lacking at the Folsom Iron Point location!
My brother and I went to KFC for lunch. Although the lobby was closed due to staffing shortages, our food issues didn't seem related to that. I ordered the 3-piece chicken box but only received two pieces—a leg and a wing. To add to the disappointment, both the A&W Root Beer and Diet Pepsi we ordered tasted like root beer. While my brother’s drink had a pressed-in lid indicating it was diet, mine didn’t, so it wasn’t a mix-up on our part. Both sodas were flat and bland. The chicken was okay but lacked flavor. On the plus side, the biscuit was good, and the woman who took our order was friendly, even though the overall service was lacking. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you plan to eat in the lobby, which isn’t currently available due to staffing issues, as you might only realize mistakes in your order after you get home.
This restaurant served an incredible Spicy Crispy Chicken Breast at a great price. It was a genuine chicken breast, not just a processed patty. I also got a large order of fries, which came in the largest container I've ever encountered! What truly amazed me was that the fries remained hot all the way to the bottom—something I've never experienced before. This will definitely be our go-to lunch spot whenever we're in Folsom, CA. - Greg
