Great eating and service, just a problem, music playing in bar and restaurant was different, so it made a bit loud, maybe playing a song in bar and restaurant?
We really enjoyed the carvery last Sunday. the personal was so friendly and welcoming. it was great when we entered first, this was so often missing today and made such a difference. would definitely visit again if in the opposite many thanks for you
The dining experience was quite average. There were only two thin slices served, and the dish was overly sweet. I would have preferred a more balanced flavor. The stuffing balls were disappointing—dry and lacking in taste. Overall, the meal felt overpriced for what was offered. The restaurant itself appeared tired and unkempt, with cobwebs on the blinds and other signs of neglect.
Probably the cost of living crisis affected the service. Even though we 4 were the only table in use at the time, the starter took a long time (tens of minutes) to arrive and there was a significant dalay (minutes) between the arrival of the first and last main dishes. When it came, the food and its presentation were good. Being so few in the restaurant affected the ambience, despite the pleasing decor. It also highlighted that the quiet background music in the bar and restaurant areas were unpleasntly different though one was initially turned off on request.
