I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for sometime now. It did not disappoint. This place is family style dinning at it's best. The food was exactly what I would expect from a southern restaurant. I wasn't sure if they change up the menu seasonally but I was expecting cornbread and not biscuits. Don't get me wrong though the biscuits were great!. I really liked the fried chicken and ribs, and the str... View all feedback.
What carol gray doesn't like about Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen:
Terrible. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED. Ribs and Pot Roast super dry. It's family style and they bring small portions. Salad seemed like bag salad. Sides are served in tiny college cafeteria books (same flavor too). Presentation was terrible. Take out desert looked like something we could get from Walmart. Prices were outrageous considering the food. We all left hungry. Food was like a TV dinner. View all feedback.
Great food and outstanding service. Brenda our server was very hospitable and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the view of the lake. Our only complaint was no to-go allowed. I understand not allowing to-go boxes for an all you can eat buffet, but this was NOT a buffet or all you can eat. We paid good money for a lot of food and were not allowed to take our leftovers home. Tremendous waste that doesn't benefit anyone! Highly recommend changing this policy!!!
What a great experience. Jada was a phenomenal waitress, very attentive and brought refills on food and drinks promptly. She was very friendly in explaining the menu and how all the options worked. We were a bit confused at first but understood it after some explaining. Basically they have about 6 main dishes, about 10 side items and then desert afterwards. Your table all shares the food it comes out on platters or in bowls. $20 a person you pick 2 main dishes, $21 pick 3 main dishes or $22 for 4 main dishes, each option comes with 4 sides. We personally got fried catfish, fried chicken, pot roast and ribs. All the main dishes and sides are endless, so it’s an all you can eat, very good meals. We got banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert, they had other options too not sure what. Dessert is also endless. The biscuits served prior to the meal are awesome, a cheese biscuit with garlic butter on top. You won’t leave hungry that’s a guarantee. Loved this place will return again and again.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to ambulate.
The food was amazing southern cooking! I like the atmosphere as well it’s like a luxury Cracker Barrel you can shop buy candles, clothes, cooking items. The staff is very friendly too!
We hit a break during our Own visit. Still dripping in our bathing suits. We were accepted with open arms. Mrs. Brenda was our server and she did an excellent job keeping the drinks flowing. She helped us the our selections to eat and when we needed other services. I will visit again just off of the service alone.
Food was AMAZING! Almost cried eating , reminded me of my mom’s cooking. This place is a must if you’re in the area. Our server Brenda was also very friendly and took great care of us while we were there. Will definitely be back.
