If you're on Fogo Island, this restaurant is a must-visit! We enjoyed our meals so much that we returned twice, and couldn't stop thinking about the delicious carrot cake. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. View all feedback.
What Cathy Hane doesn't like about Nicole's Cafe:
Fish & chips were terrible. Under-cooked and mushy. Sent it back and waitress didn't apologize. It was taken off the bill but we were very hungry but felt that if they couldn't do simple fish & chips then there was no point in ordering anything else. Waitress didn't come to check on how the food was. We had to flag her down even though the dining room was not busy. View all feedback.
My wife went to Nicole's for dinner 24 July and liked it so much we just had to return the next night. The meals and service were among the best we have ever had. Staff were a delight. Will definitely recommend to our friends and return when we have the chance.

We travelled over to Fogo Island for the day and came across Nicole's Cafe around supper time. So glad we did! We had the mussels to start, the cod and the lobster risotto. To die for! This place is a must if travelling to Newfoundland. The restaurant had the perfect feel and is authentically decorated.
We ate twice at this wonderful gourmet restaurant. On our second visit we treated a very special local person that we had met several times while touring Fogo Island. It turned out that he was a relative of Nicole. We were treated to a very special creation by Nicole's chefs....Lobster Risotto!! it was "out-of-this-world". Don't miss this oasis.....
Food was amazing. Staff were very friendly. They even made my birthday feel even extra special! Thks
