The garbage is... read more Wow this bakery is headed down the toilet. I was so hungry that I stopped in this bakery located in the Flushing Mall. The place is a total mess. The garbage is overflowing. There are crumbs in the area for the trays and tongs. They have only tongs and no trays. The place has a few tables and the customers are cleaning off the tables and chairs. I was so hungry I did purchase a bun wrapped in plastic. The person at the counter was so rude. Yelling at me in Chinese. My bun did not taste fresh. The line to the register was very long. I guess people don't care about the bad customer service and the dirty bakery. I will not be back to this bakery.

I liked the custard cream bread and... read more Bread tastes good solid location as well. I remember coming here to buy bread for work years ago. Workers are quick as well. I liked the custard cream bread and the coconut bread. I never buy drinks at Chinese bakeries but decided to try the watermelon drink they advertised in front. The drink tasted like Blended watermelon and was only 4 dollars and change for a medium. Really glad I tried it.

However, the quality seems to vary at this location in the mall compared to other Fay Da locations in Queens. The items here were noticeably less fresh than at the other locations. While the selection was mostly available and there weren't many items out of stock, the buns had very little filling, and the sponge cake lacked the fluffy texture it used to have. The prices remain consistent with what you'd expect.

Usually the first place I’d stop at whenever I go to Downtown Flushing, and it’s been a place I’ve frequented for years, since high school and that was years ago!
