El Potrillo Mexican - Flowood

Hard to give a thorough review due to the unique nature of my visit. First I was at a party of 20 and second her AC was out and the temperature in the restaurant wasn't what you could expect. To disregard all this here is my review of things that are most important. The staff was friendly and accommodating for our big party. Our waiter was fantastic. He remained on top of the refill of chips and drinks. All orders came out as ordered and in time. The food was great. All I tried was really good and delicious. Everyone at our party was happy with their food. The negative for me or the one that would keep me from returning is the prices of food. I eat my fair share of food in Mexican restaurants around Flowood and Madison and my family from 4 to average spending about $52 per outing. Through the menu we immediately saw the price difference. Total cost minus the additional congratulations for our big party were around $80. For us we stay at the restaurants we like to visit, but if someone is curious, their food is really good. A great experience.

Excellent. I tried the pig and it was tender and delicious with the right season. My wife had the taco salad that had an unusual taste, but very beautiful. Portions are huge. It would get 5 stars, but decor and age of furnishings were distracting. Don't let that happen. We will definitely go back to try some of the dishes we had never seen before on a Mexican menu.

Always a great place to enjoy a Mexican meal. If they make a mistake, just let it know. You are happy to get it right for you. I've been here for years and come back. Great food, great experience.

The best salsa around and a mango is a great way to start Taco on Tuesday... every day of the week!

Staff was friendly and kind. The food was pretty tasty. It was a little bland but the wait to receive our meal was not over 25 minutes. The waitress me and my date had made great eye contact and was attentive to our table. I would come back here again for sure.
