Was User at Moonie's Texas Bbq a mag?
I've eaten here before, but for my father's upcoming birthday, I wanted to treat the family. I ordered pulled brisket, pork, and ribs so everyone could try a bit of everything. Everyone was genuinely impressed by the flavors and how tender each dish was. The ribs and brisket were so good that they didn’t even need any sauce. My dad went back for seconds and then thirds! I think you've gained some new fans. We all lef... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Moonie's Texas Bbq:
I've been dining at this restaurant with my family after church on Sundays for the last two years, and we genuinely love the incredibly tender brisket, the uniquely delicious macaroni and cheese, and the pudding that brings back memories of my grandmother's recipe. This past Sunday, August 21, 2022, we visited as usual, and the food was fantastic as always. However, I had to stop eating when I saw a cockroach scurry... View all feedback.

Amazing taste!!! Loved the bride!!! After moving from Texas to Ga, it was so GREAT to find a cattle barbecue place!!!! This is our new BBQ place!!!
Great food and great service, best brisket I ever had, as well as the Jalapeño Mac and cheese. Try to go by the week, damn good food.
This is the BEST BBQ I have EVER had ...bar none! It's melt in your mouth comfort food! Jalapeño mac n'cheese YES PLEASE!!! The brisket was off the chain good... the cream corn not to mention the sauces spicy is my fav! I can't pass this place without stopping! One meal is enough for 2 you get FREE Dog bones so your dog will forgive you when you come in smelling like your BBQ heaven
By far the best BBQ I've had around. Wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese but between the brisket and the creamed corn I've found my new BBQ spot!
Moonie’s BBQ is amazing food and is family owned by wonderful people. Hands down the best BBQ around. Thank you for supporting Lanier Elementary School with providing lunch for the teachers and staff. You have gained customers for life!

Ribs, baked beans and sliced brisket are amazing. The food is Expensive but good. Potato salad and coleslaw has no substance. Just potatoes and mayo or cabbage and mayo.
We were in the surrounding area, found this place via Yelp and decided to try. The girl working at the register was very friendly. She recommended us to buy by the pounds and then order side dishes. She said we'd get more value for our money. We followed her recommendation and ordered the brisket, pulled pork, ribs and a few side dishes (French fries, green beans, special brisket chili, and banana pudding). My favorite is the pulled pork. Brisket is not bad at all, but I've had better. This place has the best green beans I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place whenever you are in the nearby area.
The most unbelievable beef, brisket, side of Texas. But, the heavy metal music is way too much and it was really really loud. They really need to make it more country and western music.
We knew when we stepped inside Moonie's that we'd found the real deal. The food was good and the menu selections were classic, right down to the banana pudding and excellent Brunswick stew, though the stew was only lukewarm. My only complaint is if I'm being prompted by an IPad to add an additional tip starting with a suggested 18 percent, I would like to actually receive a service of some sort and friendly checkout, neither of which were present.
After I got home and set everything up for dinner, I was extremely disappointed. The bun was so greasy that it turned mushy, and the brisket was incredibly tough. The baked beans were nothing more than Bush's beans with some added pears, and the Brunswick stew had a ketchup base. The potato salad was bland and tasted like plain potatoes. The coleslaw was the only item that was somewhat flavorful, but it seemed like it was store-bought. In the end, this $28 meal was a lesson learned, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic BBQ—it simply doesn’t deliver. They also make their sauce in-house, but that didn’t impress me either.

I've found my new favorite Texas-style BBQ spot in Georgia! I've been there four times in just three weeks—need I say more?
Amazing Texas BBQ spot! As someone with a Texan stepdad and a lot of friends from Texas, I've made numerous trips to either Dallas or Houston. The decor and menu here brought back memories of authentic Texas meat markets. The standout dish is undoubtedly the spectacular Brunswick Stew. They've perfectly blended Texas chili with traditional Brunswick stew, creating one of the most enjoyable stews I've had in years. Fantastic job! The ribs fall right off the bone and are seasoned with a delicious dry rub, making them delightful even without any of the several excellent sauces available. On a slightly negative note, I found the Texas brisket to be drier than others I’ve tried in Georgia. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!
I went to Moonie's for the first time today, and it was an amazing experience! It's now my top BBQ choice in Metro Atlanta. The brisket was exceptional, and my wife loved the pulled pork, which was equally tasty. The staff was welcoming, the food was fantastic, and the wait was definitely worth it. If you'd prefer to avoid the wait, you can call ahead for pickups. Give it a try—you'll be glad you did!
The BBQ here is quite good, with the brisket being my favorite dish. Both the jalapeño mac and cheese and coleslaw were enjoyable as well. Sit back and relax with a Shiner beer!
The smoked beef plate was exceptional. The baked beans had a wonderfully homemade taste. The coleslaw was a bit different from what I'm used to; it could use a bit more spice in the dressing, as it was somewhat bland. However, the cut of the cabbage was excellent and added an interesting texture. The pulled pork was tasty, and the house barbecue sauce was fantastic. The service was excellent—we received our meals in just a few minutes. The tea was pretty good too.
