What Davina G likes about El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant:
Absolutely delicious food, the queso with chorizo was perfect. I ordered caldo de pollo which was small and pretty average, hubs got the lunch fajitas which were very tasty, homemade tortillas and although our server was friendly they were packed and way under-staffed which I knocked a star off for. Food here is very, very good. View all feedback. What Jessica B doesn't like about El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant:
Stopped in on a business trip because it was next to my hotel it was not great. Rice was hard and crispy, chile relleno was just a pile of ground hamburgers with 3 strips of bell pepper under melted cheese that was flavorless. I also had a cheese quesadilla in my combo and even that was cold and the cheese wasn't melted all the way. I won't be back. View all feedback.

read moreEl Sombrero restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers, with some reporting disappointing experiences due to food quality, service, and management. Some have found the food to be underwhelming, with cold dishes, oversalted tacos, and unidentifiable chili relleno. Others, however, have had positive experiences, enjoying delicious food like queso with chorizo and lunch fajitas. Service has been hit or miss, with some praising attentive and kind servers like Kayling, while others have had issues with gift card redemption and unhelpful staff. Overall, while the restaurant has its shortcomings, it seems to offer some value in terms of portion sizes and food quality.
Their food was EXCEPTIONAL! I'm from Southern CA so I'm super picky about Mexican food and even though it's not perfectly authentic..
It is just really sad what people accept as "Mexican food." Everything here is swimming in a plate of liquid.
You definitely are reminded that you're not in the city when you eat here.
