The Flour Shop Bakery - Flower Mound

This place is my absolute favorite spot for working from the office! Nothing beats a lemon pastry and coffee to get me going! Cara is incredibly creative, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Their baked goods are genuinely the best I've ever had! I recommend this spot to all my friends and family for birthday cakes, a quick sweet treat, or a charming venue for hosting an event or shower!

Some people might prefer their desserts to be overwhelmingly sweet, sticking to classic vanilla or chocolate flavors. If that's the case, they should just ask for that specific style. Others might appreciate a more moderate sweetness, with a range of subtle flavors shining through—this is what Flour Shop does best. Everything is freshly made; unlike typical food stores where choux and puff pastries can be soft, and cakes often end up dry or overly syrupy, here, the pastries are flaky and crisp. The cakes are dense without being cloying, allowing you to truly savor the differences between the icing and the various layers. I can't quite put my finger on what they do differently, but it definitely sets them apart from any other bakery in the area. I don’t pop into the shop every day because, if I did, I would have no self-control! When I do go in, I usually end up grabbing 6 or 8 pastries and devouring them all on my way home.
