I?ve driven by the restaurant countless times but finally decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is nice, but casual, and the food was a notch above many similar places. Add that to reasonable prices and good service and I?ll be back next time I get a chance. View all feedback.
What Matt M doesn't like about Joy Chinese Cuisine:
The meat in our dishes had a very strange consistency and there was a flavor added to the dishes we've never had at a Chinese restaurant. The spice they added was very off putting and the general taste of the dishes was off. The meat seemed like it had been boiled and was very soft and doughy. None of us liked the meat. Our waitress was very nice and I enjoyed the decor but the food was just not good. View all feedback.
The most disgusting food I’ve tasted in a while! Found 2 random pieces of chicken inside Shrimp Lo Mein. They are probably mixing old food with the new or someone else’s food. Chicken and Broccoli had no brown sauce instead it was white and bland. Chicken tasted like card board. Wasted my entire lunch on this place never again!
Truly delicious, I had always driven past here on the way home and never gave it a chance. I’m glad I did, will be my new go to for take out as well! Service was excellent, I really did enjoy it!!
This was the only thing I ate that day, because food poisoning kicked in not too long after I finished. It lasted a week, and thankfully, I was able to deal with it myself without having to go to the ER. The hot sour soup was fine, but it was the kung pao that did me in something about the chicken they used. It didn't taste bad, at the time or didn't seem to have an issue at first but, later that evening is when it started. Not fun. I've eaten here before, and no issues, but I won't be coming back. Food prep and food management is crucial for any eating establishment, and perhaps they need to take a much harder look at the ways they manage food, sanitary conditions, and whatever else is going on in the kitchen to have caused this to happen.
This is by far the nastiest chicken I’ve ever tasted. I took one bite and it’s definitely been frozen for a period of time. It was rubbery and chewy and some pieces were undercooked. After taking this picture I threw it away. Wasn’t worth it.
Just had Joy Chinese Cuisine for the first time. My daughter and I were returning from a grueling journey to the only place we could get a DPS appointment in nearby Lake Worth (pause for laughter) and she said she wanted dumplings. Who am I to deny this request for my dear and only daughter? Anyway, I had heard good things about the place so we decided to drop in mid-afternoon (2-ish). Two orders of steamed pork dumplings, some Oolong tea, and we split a bowl of their beef noodle soup. It was all absolutely delicious! The seasoning on the dumplings was perfect, and the noodle broth was rich and savory with just the right amount of heat to please both me (a heat freak) and my daughter (a big wimp). Our server was fast and friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to watch the gentleman actively making dumplings out in front, too. I highly recommend both items we got. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back.
