I kept Johnson looking for a certain soda my son loved in law when he lived in Bahamas for a short time. In all these years I came to KW, the 2 owners are by far the nicest people I've ever met on the island. They were very helpful, friendly, even to me pictures of their new grandbaby!!!! Just the best conch salad I cost for a long time. Mom and Pop Supermarket, very authentic. I would recommend everyone and everyone. Will certainly be my stop when I get to the key West. Thank you Brenda and Brother B. You are the best.
When I say that it is The Best Conch Salad in the World ... I 'm not kidding! This is exactly what I have been looking for and wanting to eat for years and never found anywhere but at Johnson 's Grocery! It is made to order, fresh like nothing in this world. So tasty, so perfect, so yummy...major umami! The Johnson 's are the most charming, kind, friendly people imaginable and they put a lot of love into what they do. Don 't forget to get the Bahamian beer to go along with the conch Salad. It is simply a gustatory delight and the highlight of all the food I ate in the Keys. Made fresh to order. :
I visited Johnson in search of a specific soda that my son loved while he lived in the Bahamas for a brief period. Throughout all my years coming to Key West, I can honestly say that the two owners are the kindest people I have ever met on the island. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, even sharing pictures of their new grandbaby with me! After reading several glowing reviews about her conch salad, I knew I had to try it—and it was fantastic! I highly recommend visiting this true gem of a place, meeting two of the most wonderful people you'll ever encounter, and definitely trying her conch salad. You won't be disappointed!
The best conch salad in the world! The owners are genuinely lovely and authentic people. They remember us when we visit, even though it’s been years since our last trip. I wish I could give them a million stars!!!
My newfound favorite people! They are the most loving individuals I've ever met during my travels. When I arrived in Key West, I asked where I could find a great conch salad, and the hotel bellman recommended THE JOHNSON'S. However, I mistakenly read it as JOHANSON'S for four straight days! You serve the best conch salad I’ve ever had. I ended up buying two salads every day. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, I’m coming back, and this time I’ll share because I’m heading home to Illinois!
