Mari's Kitchen - Florence
Mari's Kitchen
Description
Tucked under the bridge in Old Town Florence, Mari’s Kitchen delivers a cozy, authentic experience with fresh, homemade seafood and comfort dishes, attentive staff and quick seating. Many praise the friendly service, gluten‑free options and good value for $20–30 dinners, plus a welcoming owner touch. A few guests noted inconsistency — bland or over‑toasted items, hard fries and an under‑portioned crab melt — and parking can be tight. Overall, it’s a warm, casual spot for couples, families and seafood lovers seeking flavorful, homey meals.

Best clam chowder I have ever had. Fantastic waffles, house made croissants w/ lox and croissant w/ berry compote were mouth wateringly good.
Overall, a fantastic experience! Dining outside in the charming downtown Florence was lovely. The pork schnitzel was exceptional; the breading was light and crispy, and the loaded mashed potatoes were quite tasty as well. My companion ordered the salmon, which she also enjoyed, paired with gluten-free mac and cheese. However, the mac and cheese was a substitution that cost an additional $4, which we felt was a little pricey. Her total meal came to $24 with the substitution, while mine was $19. The service was adequate. All in all, we were very satisfied and would definitely recommend this restaurant! Plus, there are plenty of gluten-free options available.
This small little restaurant packs a lot of punch with their great service and amazing food! We had the dolmos and meatball appetizers, and then the seafood pasticcio for dinner. They were all great, but the pasticcio was off the charts with flavor. It came with their homemade rosemary bread which is the perfect complement. It was so good we went back for breakfast the next day and had the lobster Benedict and the veggie omelet, both very good. Very friendly and hardworking staff. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent! I had mac and cheese that tasted just like home and my husband had a pork schnitzel sandwich that had 2 huge slabs of schnitzel in it. The price was as expected for the quality of the food and the location almost under the bridge in Old Town Florence. Parking was a challenge but we found street parking within about 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and our food was piping hot. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
10/10! This restaurant exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing —each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our server was incredibly helpful, making great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. To top it all off, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to an already fantastic experience. I can't wait to come back!
