Took my family to breakfast and the service and food was top notch! You won’t find a better breakfast anywhere. The chicken and waffles were the best I have ever had and the service was top notch. Brown Hen is the GO to spot in Florence, Oregon. View all feedback.
What Clay Blomquist doesn't like about Little Brown Hen Cafe:
Manager/owner was very rude for no reason. He was yelling at a guy and making a scene because he couldn’t speak good English. We waited an hour for our mediocre food that was cold and soggy. We were very uncomfortable. View all feedback.
The chicken fried steak with the elk substitute was incredible. Absolutely recommend! and the Dungeness Crab was in season and was also delicious.
Despite them being busy, I was seated within a couple minutes. The wait staff were all kind and checked on me regularly. Breakfast hit the spot, and didn't break the bank. The portions were generous. Love their coffee mugs. Notes: This place is cash only. Bring cash if you can. There is an ATM inside but it only gives twenties and there is a small fee. I would say this place is best for small groups (4 or less), or single eaters.
This place was busy and for good reason. The beignets with their house marianberry syrup were simply phenomenal. Next came the best fried chicken and waffles I have ever tasted west of the rocky mountains. I will definitely be returning. Be aware at the time of this writing they only accepted cash or check.
Dietary restrictions: Dedicated work area and tools for perple with gluten allergies. Knowledgeable and friend staff.
We saw the a line of people in the morning as we drove south heading to our ATV rental so decided to check it out for lunch. This is a really nice little diner and our waiter was a to ten all-timer for us. He was attentive, suggestive and friendly. We tried the clam chowder and fish and chips and both were great. The couple next to us had a great looking burger as well. We finished it up with beignets and the “Best coffee ever” which is their version of an Irish coffee. It was great and the beignets were fresh and hot. Great little spot and we highly recommend!
