Ichiban Sushi Florence

I walked up to the window where I could see the staff inside and asked a gentleman if they had closed early. He simply indicated that they were indeed closed, despite having seen us arrive. There was no sign of any prior warning, and it was disappointing after looking forward to a nice meal. To not let it ruin our night, I went online, found another place called The Rice Box, and placed an order with them instead. I don’t usually write reviews because I understand how they often work. Many people only write them when they're unhappy, while those who have positive experiences rarely do unless prompted. So, I just wanted to share my experience. I was really disappointed with my experience. The last time I ordered sushi, it tasted off and sour, but I thought it might have just been a one-time issue. I decided to give it another try today, and it turned out to be even worse. After just one bite, I couldn’t continue eating. I’ve enjoyed sushi for many years, and I’ve never encountered anything like that before. I informed the staff about my experience, and they offered me a “discount” of just $1.50. I used to really like this restaurant, but sadly, I won't be coming back.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! The white sauce seemed like it was made fresh for each order, and the sushi was exceptional! This is definitely the best restaurant in the area! Don’t bother spending your time or money at Umi! Thank you, thank you!

Literally everything about this place was fantastic! Lots of garlic and actual spices used! Amazing food great atmosphere, servers were very attentive! Will be back here every time we are in this area!

Loved the Hibachi show. Great price too. It was my birthday. They brought out fried cheesecake to celebrate.
