Aqua Mare - Flomochori

If there's one thing that bothers me, it's being called crazy. We ordered two families several things and among them fresh squid. In fact, when ordering, we insisted that it be squid and not squid. In the end, this particular dish was a small fry. As a professional fisherman, I know more than well what squid is and how it eats, let it be fried. I tell the owner very politely that some mistake was made, but she insists that this is squid. I politely ask him to show them to me in the kitchen and he accepts. Of course he showed me little scraps and explained the differences to the squid with invalid pointers. I tell her not to insist, and she replied in a tone that they have had boats for years and have been fishing them. When I told her that this is impossible since the 7-point snapper (and the 7-point squid that was NOT) are only caught by trawling and no boat can fish for them, she did not respond. But from that moment her behavior also changed, and of course the smile disappeared... The rest of the food was ok, but that's it... The service from the girl serving, very good. Finally we paid the calamari for squid and he scolded us for our children playing on the sunbeds, because he was afraid they would be damaged. From the other reviews, it's easy to see why...

We were at the stand during the day and had lunch there. The place looks very nice, the beach is great. We ordered scampi saganiaki, octopus and vegetables for dinner. The scampi was very tasty. The octopus had two very long tentacles, but it was so hard and tough that we could hardly cut it. The vegetables looked like they had been soaked in water for days; they were potatoes, zucchini and carrots. Everything was completely watered down, even with salt it didn't taste good. The waitress in the restaurant only served the food, then she didn't show up to us again and when I went into the restaurant to pay she didn't ask if everything was okay or if it was tasty. I had the impression that she deliberately didn't ask because she knew that the octopus was an absolute joke. We have been in Greece for a total of 6 weeks in different regions and have never eaten anywhere near as bad. We were surprised that so many locals go out to eat there. We suspect that they simply serve old things to tourists who are obviously passing through. We can't explain it any other way.

We only ate a little something...but it's not essential. What's great here...The restaurant is in a beautiful, windless bay, perfect for swimming and not much going on...and the loungers on the beach can be used free of charge if you eat there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
