We found The Ship as a mid point between our families. What a find! Warm welcome, excellent service, delicious food, ice cold drinks. They brought out our birthday cake and even had ice cream for our dogs. Very impressed indeed. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. High points were their homemade chips the cleanliness was excellent throughout too. Thank you so much to The Ship!! View all feedback.
What Michaela H doesn't like about The Ship Inn:
Liked · The room was clean tidy, fresh bedding towels, staff were very nice . Disliked · the noise from the tv in the bar below felt like we were in the same room!?? And we had gone to bed to escape the tv in the bar… the mattress was sooooo soft I felt sea sick… not a good nights sleep at all. Advertised as continental breakfast, which was a sliced loaf, a toaster and some jam : And to top it off, some one had drain... View all feedback.
While leisurely traveling from North Wales to Liverpool for the ferry back to the Isle of Man, we found ourselves feeling a bit hungry. After a successful visit to the fantastic Abakhan Fabric Barn nearby, we stumbled upon this unassuming pub just off the main road. It was a delightful surprise. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed a delicious Steak Baguette with Salad and excellent 'proper' Chips. We were so pleased to have discovered this gem and will definitely be returning in the future.
I came in with my grandkids for an early dinner. The service was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were fair at this cozy traditional pub.
Lovely food, what a little gem, found on way home from a visit to Rhyl , the fact we were asked had we booked is testimony to its popularity, well recommended.
Excellent pub showing all sports events. Staropramen on draught, fantastic. Highly rated Sunday roast too.
We opted for the full set menu for a pre-Christmas lunch, which included a starter, main course, dessert, as well as cheese and biscuits. Both my wife and I started with the Prawn Cocktail, followed by Roast Turkey. The vegetables were served in separate dishes with a great variety, and the Roast Turkey came with stuffing, pigs in blankets, and potatoes. I enjoyed the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert, while my wife had the traditional Christmas pudding. To top it off, there was a selection of cheeses, biscuits, and homemade pickles. It was definitely worth every cent.
