I have had many wonderful meals at this restaurant recently, but today's Sunday lunch was quite disappointing. The beef was tough, the carrots were oversized and not trimmed properly, and I couldn't even cut my Yorkshire pudding. I initially thought it was a problem with the knife, but it wasn't. We are fairly regular customers, always friendly staff and happy to accommodate.
Extremely disappointed by the tiny portion sizes especially the halloumi fries. Not only were they tiny and only 5 on the plate, they were bland, lacked seasoning and had hardly any batter. The hunters chicken was the same. Overall, a disappointment.
The staff were friendly and efficent and made us feel welcome the food was delicious and the dining area felt warm and cosy
Decided to try a new dish and it was lovely. Service was very prompt even though it was lunch time and very busy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
