Nestled in the heart of Mold, Lucy Mays Cafe is a delightful spot for breakfast and lunch, combining a warm, inviting atmosphere with quality food. Due to Covid travel restrictions, we were unable to return earlier. Our tables were well spaced out and the restaurant was fully compliant with all regulations. Everything was perfect during our visit in January. A previous reviewer in August mentioned unfriendly staff, but we experienced the complete opposite today. The staff were back to their friendliest best. We enjoyed the "small breakfast", which was actually quite large and included sausage, bacon, beans, tinned tomato, egg, thick toast, and a mug of tea. Thank you, ladies, for the great breakfasts.

I went for breakfast with my husband and we both enjoyed our meals. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and looked great when it arrived. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The only downside was the lack of a warm welcome or smile from the owner. It would have been nice to feel more welcomed. A simple smile can go a long way.

Yum yum yum yum yum! There were so many locals in there we thought it must be good and we were right! Such delicious food I will definitely be back.

This cafe looks very appealing outside but we won’t make a return visit. I ordered a scrambled egg toastie which came as egg on toast, when I questioned it the woman waiting on apologised and took it away. It returned seconds later, the cook has...taken the two side pieces of toast put them on top of the egg and cut the bottom slice of toast thus making an egg sandwich by which time the bottom toast was soggy. My mother had a bacon sandwich, the bacon was tough and she couldn’t eat it. For a small cafe we didn’t enjoy the atmosphere, the prices or the food we also felt it was poor value for money.

Called in with a friend for a breakfast. My friend had a large traditional breakfast... price and got an okayish one. I had a cup of tea and sausage and egg bap... Priced What i was served was the smallest bun with two...small sausage cut open and had to be half stacked on top of each other plus a runny egg that was all over the plate coz there was no bun left for it to run on to.. I would describe this as a small bread roll rather than bun or bap.. Price for my roll So definitley on my meal not value for money and felt ripped off Will i go back... no
