Custom House
Description
The local pub, once marred by poor management and a dilapidated environment, is experiencing a revitalization. While some patrons are thrilled by recent renovations, improved beer quality, and competitive pricing, others remain cautious, highlighting issues like lingering cleanliness concerns and an aggressive staff demeanor. Positive changes include better outdoor seating, engaging entertainment options, and a cleaner atmosphere. However, the pub still has room for improvement, such as updating its decor and ensuring consistent customer service. Overall, it emerges as a spot with potential, welcoming both loyal locals and newcomers, provided they enter with realistic expectations.

Recently, this pub underwent a much-needed refurbishment which has greatly improved its image. The same customers still frequent the place, but now they can enjoy more competitive prices, such as £1.70 for a pint of cider and most beers. The bar also features a pool table and an electronic darts board for entertainment. On Fridays and Saturdays, there is additional entertainment, and Sundays are reserved for quiz nights. The outdoor seating area and car park have also been upgraded. They offer Sky TV for sports fans. Hopefully, the pub will continue to maintain its appearance and reputation by upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, customer service, and customer safety.
