If you get bored of eating cheese, pasta and meat in Switzerland then this is definitely the place to come to for some delicious Asian (Thai) food.I loved the pad thai, and green curry with steam rice as mains. Ordered the pad Thai as starter and shared with friends. The minced beef main is also delicious. And the white coconut soup cannot be missed ! So please try ! It’s like a different version of the tom yum soup but better. The beef salad dish was also delicious. I liked the papaya salad but it’s spicy. The red snapper was really authentic but too fried and sweet for my taste. The spices were perfect and just what I needed on a cold winter evening. If you eat less spicy then ask the staff to tailor the dishes for you.The service here is expectational. They were very good and patient with our big group, and even let us cancel two mains last minute because we had over ordered! Sign of a good quality establishment! It’s located in a hotel which seemed to have nice spa and pool facilities so could even make a spa day out of it.
A wonderful piece of Thailand hidden in the Swiss mountains. Forget about the menu, tonight it was ‘just’ a buffet. A full and authentic Thai food buffet with just enough of modern touch. The green papaya salad and the Pad Thai made just for you were just very tasty. Excellent food and a strong wine list.
The Waldhaus hotel is superbe but unfortunately the restaurants in the hotel do not reflect the high standard of the hotel itself. The worst probably was the Siam restaurant, Thai restaurant. My husband had a Duck soup and found only duck skin and almost no duck meat, with on top grapes and litchi in sweet and spicy sauce... The quality of the meal in generally was horrible. We flagged it to the waiter and were really disappointed when we still saw the duck on the bill. Never again!
We went for dinner on Saturday night and enjoyed very much the buffet.Thought the quality of the ingredients was good and liked were much that we arrived late for dinner but the buffet kept being recharged with food. All in all a very good experience although we can cook Thai food so we didn 't think it 's was sublime we all agreed it was a good meal with a great variety and top notch fresh ingredients.
Since I’m living in Thailand and spent some holidays in April in Waldhaus Flims I decided to take my family for a reunion dinner to SIAM. All the dishes on the menu looked very tempting so we choose a nice selection and what can I say- it all tasted like back in Thailand and came nicely presented. We had Pomelo Salad with Shrimps, Chicken Satay, Thai Beef Salad, Beef Cheek Panaeng Curry, Fried Fish with Sweet Spicy Sauce, Wok fried Chicken with Cashew nuts and Pad Thai. The restaurant was busy but we were in no hurry and enjoyed the lovely food with a bottle of local white wine. At the end of the dinner the lady Thai Chef came to the table to check if everything was fine- it was more than that. Highly recommended.
