Glutenfreie Gerichte sind kein... read more Die Wirtefamilie, die seit rund einem Jahr das Cavigilli führt, stammt aus Norditalien. Die Gerichte werden wunderschön serviert. Glutenfreie Gerichte sind kein Problem. Da ich meine Zöliakie angemeldet hatte, war an diesem Abend die Auswahl sogar etwas grösser. Die grosse Auswahl auserlesener Weine stammt zum Teil aus kleinen Weingütern. Auch der Bresaola kommt von einem kleinen Landgut. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und die nette Bedienung sind unschlagbar und machen das Essen zu einem Erlebnis.

Der Garten hat uns absolut überzeugt; mitten in Flims' altem Dorf, umgeben von authentischen Bauernhäusern genossen wir an diesem lauschigen Plätzchen einen traumhaften Abend. Die Sommerkarte ist sehr vielseitig und die Qualität der zubereiteten Speisen lässt keine Wünsche offen. Einfach toll, was hier geboten wird! Weiter so!

It was a wonderful experience in a warm and charming setting of one of the oldes... read more I dined at Restaurant Cavigilli during a recent ski trip to Flims, Switzerland. It was a wonderful experience in a warm and charming setting of one of the oldest structures in the area and the old tax collection house. I was delighted to find the building had been restored in a thoughtful manner, incorporating the history of Flims and maintaining the integrity of the original building. Additionally, the art work of local artists has been seamlessly integrated into the design; most notably in the inclusion of a plafond ceiling feature by Alois Carigiet so special! The interiors aside, the cuisine was remarkable with a fantastic selection of charcuterie and cheeses bookending our meal. We shared two very generous serves of the risotto and ravioli which were exquisitely executed and rich in flavour without being overwhelming. Dessert was of course a non negotiable for the meal, and I thoroughly enjoyed the panna cotta!It is Italian cusine at its best both sophisticated and humble; delectable and equally comforting as if from the kitchen of Mama (or Nonna). It was evident the produce was fresh, the chefs italian, the kitchen open. The staff were attentive and captured the quintessential friendliness of the Italians... and the Swiss!Restaurant Cavigilli was the perfect end to a long day on the slopes, a warm and friendly experience in an idyllic setting amongst the traditional homes of Flims' village and only a stone's throw from the local church making the evening walk from the restaurant just as charming as the dining experience. I highly recommend dining here for it was a wonderful culinary affair!
