What User doesn't like about Woodlands Cafe:
The cafeteria's prices were reasonable, but unfortunately, our experiences during both dinner and breakfast left much to be desired. This morning, the eggs were lukewarm and boiled, and the oatmeal was not steel-cut; it was just plain mush. We regretted our choices. View all feedback.

The demeanor of the three employees who greeted us was not welcoming at all, making us feel as though we were expected to know that reservations were required for a restaurant with very few customers. Since we were in the same building, we decided to try Woodlands Restaurant, which shares the space and had employees who seemed to shift between both locations. While there were five employees gathered behind the counter, only two were serving tables. We noticed other diners arriving after us who were served before us. Despite the service issues, the food was hot and delicious. However, none of the staff took the initiative to clean the dirty doors, which looked as if they had been wiped down with greasy rags. Both restaurants appear to be part of the DoubleTree by Hilton, but they feel out of place. The management should invest time in training employees in customer service skills. Rude staff drive customers away, and lazy employees can demotivate hardworking colleagues, who resent receiving the same pay as those who are idle. With five employees loitering behind the counter while no customers were around, the tables and doors should have been spotless! Only the two servers and the chefs seemed to be actively working for their pay that day.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The hostess and our server were incredibly accommodating and friendly, going above and beyond to make our visit special. Even though we arrived late, they still welcomed us in. This restaurant truly made our brief stay in Flagstaff feel very inviting.
Both of the omelet dishes we ordered were overcooked and had a rubbery texture. The breakfast burrito was bland, although it was somewhat salvaged by the tasty turkey sausage. The Eggs Benedict were so overcooked that the yolks could easily be mistaken for golf balls. We even asked for the Eggs Benedict to be remade, only to be informed that they had run out of hollandaise sauce during breakfast! It was no surprise to see only four tables occupied on a Sunday morning. Fortunately, there is a diner just a few minutes' walk away, and we chose to dine there for the remainder of our stay instead of returning to this restaurant.
The food and service are both outstanding. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday evening. The breakfast buffet offers a good selection. Although there isn’t an omelette station, the options available are still impressive.
