Oregano's Pizza Bistro - Flagstaff

I love this restaurant! The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the portions are huge. Whenever I miss eating at the dining hall at NAU, I come here. The servings are big enough to share or save for later. My go-to dish is the meatball sub. And don't forget to try the peanut butter chocolate chip pizza cookie - it's a must!

The previous reviewer is correct in saying that this restaurant is always bustling, which is understandable given the quality of the experience. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is charmingly casual, perfect for a college town setting. I wouldn't recommend trying to dine here with a large group on a busy night, but a quiet lunch for two or three outside of peak hours would be ideal. Orreganos sources their bread from a wonderful local bakery, Village Baker, known for their superb baguettes.

The restaurant offers a variety of American and Italian food options, but my favorite is their wings. I recommend trying their Hot Wings of Fire, but be prepared to have plenty of water or beer on hand to cool down your taste buds. Despite often having a wait, the experience is worth it. Located on the NAU campus, it is a fun spot that locals have deemed the best place for a first date in Flagstaff, as well as the best pizza spot multiple times. I suggest going prepared to wait at least thirty minutes (reservations not accepted) and ordering pizza, wings, and a beer. Don't forget to save room for dessert - their pizza cookie is truly outstanding!

Meet with a group of 12 on a Friday night homecoming weekend. It was packed, but I guess that's pretty normal. They are small but big on taste and it seems everyone knows that. We waited about 90 minutes, but enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at the small (read minute) bar. The staff is super friendly and they pour a nice drink. However, bar is limited. The food was great. Loved the casual college city atmosphere.
