I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to your cafe with the souvenir shop. As a local resident in the area, I often recommend your establishment to friends and visitors, but unfortunately, my recent experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Recently, I had a friend visiting from out of town, and I wanted to show her a little piece of our rich Norwegian folklore. We stumbled upon a children's book about trolls, and as it was in German, my friend kindly offered to translate a few sentences for me in English. This innocent activity, however, was met with unnecessary hostility by one of your staff members, who I believe was the waiter or seller. Rather than approaching us in a polite and understanding manner, this individual took it upon themselves to use a unfriendly tone and inform us that the cafe is not a library, and we were not allowed to read the book without purchasing it. This was said in such a way that made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed for merely showing interest in the book. I was taken aback by this incident, as it contradicted the friendly and welcoming reputation that Norway and its people are known for. I believe that as representatives of your establishment and our beautiful country, your staff should strive to provide excellent customer service, even in situations where customers may have different intentions or expectations. It was disheartening to see our enthusiasm for exploring our cultural heritage met with such a dismissive and unsympathetic response. The lack of acknowledgement or response from the staff member when I expressed my dissatisfaction further exemplified the poor level of service and disregard for customer satisfaction. I hope that you take this feedback seriously and address this issue with your staff. It is important that you remind them of the importance of providing respectful and courteous service to all patrons, regardless of their individual interests or intentions. I believe this is crucial for maintaining your reputation as a welcoming establishment and a positive representation of Norway.

Amazing local fare. Family restaurant mother and son. Very friendly service with great recommendations. Architecture of the building is amazing and can't beat the Glacier view. Highly recommend a meal here while visiting Bøyabreen Glacier.

Location is great to have a restaurant there, but the servings in the restaurant it was badly functioning som student without experience for this work, for everything you have for a price for everything they offer like coffee,...

After a long day of hiking in Flatbrehytta. Stunning view, amazing dessert, good beer and owner was very nice and accommodating.
