Diane's Take out and Restaurant

We were disappointed in quality of food. For $15 expect better quality and quantity. Used to be you got 2 large pieces of fish cooked well, now you get 2 small-medium pieces of fish that is over cooked and small fries. Do not recommend.

Quite a drive to discover no indoor dining ,, not a wise decision during Spring in NS. A damp day , wet grass leading to uninviting picnic tables forced us to carry on to another spot.

We didn’t waste any time pulling in when we saw #1 clams advertised and it really is true they were delicious light batter, not greasy, flavourful clams(fresh), and lots of them. Also, a good price! Loved them!

Lots of reviews rave about Diane's but we didn't really understand why after visiting in July 2021. There were 4 of us. Two had the clams and chips, one had fish and chips and the other had sweet potato fries. The clams were decent/good, the fish was average at best and the portion of sweet potato fries was tiny but expensive. A nice trip out to Five Islands but we won't be heading back to Diane's any time soon.

We were driving by and thought, That looks nice. We had the two piece fish and chips and were not disappointed. The order took about 20 minutes to prepare and only take out service was available. There were a lot of tables outside so no problem at all with that. The highlight was the fish. Oh, man, it was good! The chips were better than expected but the fish was world class! We would totally eat here again.
