My last experience at the restaurant was disappointing due to the service. The staff seemed upset, and it affected the atmosphere. If anyone knows what good coffee and food is, it’s definitely the Greeks. A popular (and delicious) coffeehouse chain has made its home in Five Dock, and offers unique coffee and food options including Souvlaki, Greek and Mexican coffee, Club sandwiches and even brunch.
We had been wanting to visit Mikel Coffee for quite some time, and we finally got the chance last Sunday while we were in the area. The atmosphere was family-friendly and very pleasant, with a welcoming staff and an impressive selection of both hot and cold beverages. We sampled a granita and, of course, some Greek coffees! For lunch, we shared several dishes because everything looked delicious. We tried the salmon galore, haloumi and pumpkin salad (my favorite), souvlaki, and to top it all off, a gluten-free orange almond cake. It was a wonderful way to end our day!
