Greetings from Fiuggi. This time, Lu (my gf) and I decided to escape for the weekend and relax in the thermal waters of this cozy little town, which, by the way, is just 75 minutes away by car from Rome. So, we decided to give a try to this place, as it was advised by the hotel staff where we stayed. They weren't wrong: Roberto (the owner) and his team were welcoming and friendly from the beginning. We had a couple of very good steaks: mine with green pepper sauce and hers just grilled, both well done but still juicy and morbid, and fair portions. That, added to a nice glass of cesanese red wine and a glorious grandma's cake (torta della nonna con pinoli, with the right amount of sweet and optimal texture) made a great evening. Don't forget to ask for a some grappa to help out the digestion!
