The cafe boasts a diverse vegan menu, featuring standout dishes like the crushed avocado toast with tangy cashew cheese and a delightful vegan porridge. Patrons rave about the homemade almond milk in their lattes and the inviting service. Although some felt portions were on the smaller side, the overall experience, including a charming courtyard, makes it a favorite among locals. Whether enjoying brunch or a leisurely coffee, Slowpoke promises a delightful retreat for anyone seeking quality food and drink.
The food was excellent, but I felt that the portion sizes could have been larger. I didn't feel full even after ordering lunch, coffee, and a lamington treat. However, I am definitely open to coming back and trying some of the other dishes on the menu.
I’ve been back here 3 times since first trying their bacon sandwich! It is delicious and so are the other items on the menu. We also got caramel slice and coffee which were great. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed and the outdoor garden was lovely to relax in while we enjoyed our food.
Simple, but excellent quality in everything they do. The sandwiches, particularly the ruban and the chicken are a menu highlight. The ruban is less traditional, but it is the BOMB made with slow cooked beef brisket, beautiful condiments and a flavoursome cheese. I love mine toasted . The cafe is cosy and ambient, with a lovely courtyard.
I find this is a great place to enjoy a quiet breakfast/lunch alone or with friends. The food is quite simple and good, my favourite being the porridge. The coffee is pretty good too.The place is very cozy and warm. The only downside is that's too small making it feel a bit crowded sometimes, especially at peak hours. The service is okay, not particularly welcoming but fine.
I frequently visit this restaurant for their delicious eggs in purgatory dish and the charming courtyard in the back. The coffee is exceptional, the staff is welcoming, and I have never been let down. It's a small cafe, so I recommend checking it out on weekdays or in the early morning for the best experience.
