On researching this cafe, the reviews were great and the food looked delicious. We therefore decided to go here for breakfast. However, on the two occassions we have turned up for breakfast they have not been open on time (7:30am) - no lights and no sign of life. Please change opening hours if you are not open by the specified time. Very disappointed.
A small but unique selection of sandiches at this sparcely yet well considered space. Always some great vinyl playing and I highly recommend the Rueben sandwich - on Tuesdays it is $10.00 so if your lucky...the Chicken sandwich is also great with crispy chicken skin - nom!
Martha Ray's is another little gem on the Fitzroy café scene. It's a cosy little place offering good coffee and food. Particular mention should go to the Reuben and chicken with crispy skin sandwiches. Both are divine. It gets my seal of approval.
Only tried the coffee here. Nice spot on Fitzroy's busy Brunswick Street. A must try.<br/ <br/ Find me on Instagram @Melbourne_Explorer or MelbourneExplorer.com
I have walked down Brunswick Street many times, but I have always been in a rush and never had the chance to stop at the cafes and venues. However, Martha Ray's caught my attention with its beautiful blue decor and happy vibes. It seemed like a hidden gem, so I finally visited last week for some much-needed coffee. I was impressed by the simplicity, authenticity, and beauty of this place and decided to spend some time enjoying their menu. I appreciate trying new things, but also enjoy simple and delicious meals. Martha Ray's was a ray of sunshine that I will definitely visit again.
