This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. The atmosphere is great, the food is incredible, and the staff is all very professional and friendly. Prices are somewhat high compared to other local restaurants, but you pay for a high quality Mexican meal that you are pressed hard to find anywhere in the area. What Robert Schmidt doesn't like about Zapata Mexican Cocina:
Be warned, the menu pricing was false. Upcharged $4.00 on each drink and similar on the floor items. Excuse was : my mother knows she should update the menu. Dan was friendly and made great cocktails so we tipped him generous lyrics, but we were ripped off with smile. BE WARNED! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
The food was decent; we’re accustomed to the Mexican cuisine from California, Arizona, and Nevada. The margaritas weren't quite right, possibly because the usual bartender wasn't working. However, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the servers were fantastic. Food: 3/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

The food was out of this world! Especially the ceviche and tostada. We have a number of food sensitivities. Our server didn't understand them but was open to asking the kitchen all the things. In the end we had a fantastic meal. The stools were quite uncomfortable, hence the low atmosphere rating. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The food is incredibly fresh and clearly made with care. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5.
