The food is good but don 't get the fried ice cream . It 's an ice cream ball breaded with cereal and hardened to the point of needing an ice pick. Very disappointing. View all feedback.
What Ari Westby doesn't like about Casa Del Sol:
The food was great! The service was terrible! Never been to a restaurant before that didn't use a typical chart/section system for their servers. The servers here were all over the place. On the patio one minute, in the dining room the next, constantly flying past each other and flying past our table. If they had sections like most places I think it would have been a much better experience. We spent most of our time... View all feedback.

Go sit in the bar-Juan will take care of you. My fiance and I get the Burrito Monterey with the arbol sauce. It's delicious and spicy. The chips and salsa are great and the restaurant is always offer more. They always have an eclectic mix of music that makes you wonder what year you are in-but in a fun way. We've tried a lot of Mexican food in the city and this is the best place we have found so far. On top of that it's very affordable. The lime margaritas I would say are also pretty good. Juan now has our order memorized and I'm currently seeking therapy for a Mexican food eating disorder.

We are regulars there for the half price margaritas on Thursday nights and Juan does a fantastic job at making us feel special but tonight he wasn 't there and our server was too focused on just the large group, they ran out of clean Jumbo Marg. glasses even though there always seemed to be at least one or two standing around doing nothing. Food came out with no silverware again, lack of attention on our servers part (where were you tonight Juan) and I would be cautious now that I have found thick MOLD in the air vent in the ladies rest room. If it is in the ceiling in there, it 's more than likely throughout the entire place but that is just my opinion. It stunk in the restroom like mildewed towels and when I looked up at the vent, I almost was ill it was so bad. Quite disappointed as we did love going here. Now we have to find somewhere else to go maybe the other place just down the road?
I used to love this place. My 1st visit was almost 2 yrs ago and we really enjoyed our food at that time. At that occasion, we met the owner, which recently had purchased the rest. and changed the syle to latin food (not only Mexican! . We had family in town and decided to take them there last weekend and to our surprise the menu was changed back to all Mexican. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of Mexican restaurants and like the diversity of other countries. The food was ok. My meat was overcooked and dry but at least had some sauce on top to smooth it. The waitress offered me a 28 oz tap beer but she came back with a 16 oz glass. She said that they ran out of the 28 oz glasses but it was Sunday at 4:30pm and there were another two tables in the rest. My wife food had missing caramelized onions (which she loves and ordered the plate just because of this . She asked the waitress and when the waitress came back from the kitchen apologized saying that the chef didn’t know the plate came with onions. Unbelievable that the people working in the kitchen don’t know the menu. I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this place.
