My husband and I had lunch here in early October and we sat outside so that we did not have the opportunity to see the decor inside. Even if the decor is great it wouldn't have helped. We shared the pulpo a la plancha (grilled octopus) and it proved to be the worst octopus we have ever had in Spain. It was almost charred to a crisp and presented unappetizingly as an entire leg (as opposed to most places that serve it in slices). Furthermore it was dry, and eating it was like chewing rubber. I hope this was just an anomaly for this restaurant, but I would not go back here again.
Another enormous, top quality lunch with my tour group. The starter was plates of langoustines, perfectly cooked and exceptionally fresh. Main course was huge pots of seafood paella. For dessert we got a cake a bit like tiramisu. Non seafood eaters got a huge portion of beautifully flavoured steak with Padron peppers and fries as the main alternative and a roasted goats cheese round on toast with walnuts as a starter. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. Great location on the harbour side. We ate in the upstairs dining area, but there is a downstairs bar and dining room, plus plenty of outside seating.
Good foods and very affordable price. Located in marina. I wanted to try pulpo but I just chose the steak. It was good. Every food people were having around me looked very good.
Somebody of the town suggested us the place, but we never had the pleasure to dinner at the restaurant Alara. As we entered the restaurant we were kept at the entrance without anybody to welcome us nor invite us to take place. After three or four minutes of waiting, I lost my patience and went to ask if there was a table for two and therefore I was told to sit wherever we liked... after that, things went worse: after ten more minutes that no waitress made herself seen to give us at least the menus, we just decided to stand up and go away. So... Go to Alara if you have a whole evening for the waiting!
