Things have definitely improved since then, as I am now vegan myself. This cafe has transformed into a modern establishment with a menu catered to the preferences of the current generation.

We decided to go for the toasties and crisps which were very tasty if not slightl... read more We popped in here after a very long bus journey to have a quick spot of lunch. We decided to go for the toasties and crisps which were very tasty if not slightly overpriced. We felt the staff were friendly and the general ambience of the café was pleasant although it was hard to find a seat as there were many people sitting at tables with laptops but no food/drinks. This wasn't an issue as we managed to get a table however on a really busy day if you wish to eat in here then this might be worth noting. We will be back again in the future for more tasty food.

It is a fab coffee place with a unique vibe, perfect for studying or... read more Rector's was the very first place I visited in St Andrews, so it's quite nostalgic for me. It is a fab coffee place with a unique vibe, perfect for studying or chillin out with friends. They have quite a large selection of hot drinks, and lots of sweet baked goods as well. You can get some food (mostly sandwiches/wraps) too. I love their vegan options you can get your coffee with oat milk, or get a vegan muffin or a sandwich. Can recommend to both students and visitors!
