Myself and my sisters went for a meal out here. From the start we were treated poorly, we waited to be served for 15 minutes and when I asked finally if they co... read more Myself and my sisters went for a meal out here. From the start we were treated poorly, we waited to be served for 15 minutes and when I asked finally if they could take our order, a male waiter said 1 minute and walked away and stood doing nothing instead. They then came back to us 5 mins later and took our order. Our drinks took a while to come and another waiter said “sorry your drinks are coming the boss is just smoking!” We were treated as though we were secondary guests to everyone else in the restaurant and were made to feel really awkward and out of place when we really wanted to just enjoy a nice meal with each other. At the end of the meal, the original waiter that refused to take our order cleared our plates without asking if we were finished and didn’t ask how our meal was. We couldn’t understand why he was being so rude to us as we had done nothing wrong. Don’t recommend here at all. The food and view was nice but the service spoilt the experience. There are much nicer places around at places that make you feel welcome with nice food and a nicer price.

Chaos from the beginning We were 3, they put us on a table for 2, had to go and get another chair myself as none of the staff bothered/noticed. Also had to go and get oil and salt myself and take plates off the table. It was early and the restaurant wasn’t full by any means only 3 or 4 tables and the same amount of staff. When the food came out they messed everyones orders up and every table got part of another tables food. Starters were good so felt somewhat comforted. 2 of our main courses came out but the third didn’t and after about 10 minutes when I asked about it they looked at me as if I was mad even questioning whether it would come. For some reason I chose chicken nuggets, I thought the would be delicious pollo fritto. They weren’t, they were burnt with some cold chips on top and a tiny smear of mayo. Then we asked for coffee and the bill, they told us to go downstairs and pay. Got the coffee eventually and then went downstairs, no one there, and no one came until I asked the bus boy to find someone, after the pretty bad food and really lack lustre bad service it was very tempting just to walk out without paying. We didn’t but I kind of wish we had. I hate to think how it would have been if they were full, basically shocking service, absolutely obvious that they didn’t care at all about their diners, absolute chaos and really not very good food. Shame as the view was tremendous!

We enjoyed cocktails the evening before our dinner booking and they could not have been more helpful to accommodate us with a fantastic view…that is when we first met Marco (sp? who promised us a good table for our dinner booking…and boy did they deliver albeit with rain on the horizon they seated us in the main restaurant and made a fantastic effort. The food was excellent and the service equally so…what a treat! We then asked to book a taxi and..after numerous attempts…Marco volunteered to drive us to our hotel in his own car…now that is above and beyond! Not only did he drop us to the front door he did not want to accept any payment…but we ensured he had some euros to cover his petrol and share a drink or 2 with his wonderful staff. We can highly recommend this fantastic restaurant to all visitors to Fiesole..thank you so much for an all round wonderful experience!
